We want to turn this thing into one of the most important streetballs in the world, where people could play ball, dunk and party like nowhere else. We are very serious abouth this tournament and we guarantee you that Sportarena 2010 would be way better than it was in 2009.

En-fanfare!
The last tournament before the Master ended last night after 3 days of spectacular basketball
The fourth tournament Sport Arena Streetball by Timex was the perfect ending of an exceptional "regular season"! Even if the wind blown or the sun heated the surface of the court, the show was not affected nor by heat nor by cold. There were hard games, all teams wanted a place at the Masters at the end of September when the invitations would be received only be the best of the best.
In the weekend 26-28 September on the court in Politehnica there will be a celebration: guests of honor both from Romania and from abroad, slam dunk and freestyle demonstrations, hip-hop concerts and the best teams and the best 3 on 3 players from Romania in 2008 in the wonderful and unique atmosphere of Sport Arena Streetball by Timex.
Amazed by the enthusiasm of the Ukrainian "Smoove"!
At only 17 years old, the Ukrainian Dmytro Kryvenko a.k.a. "Smoove" managed to win the spectators and participants present at the fourth tournament. Being remarkable modest, the wonderkid made show on Sunday. At the "All Star Game" he hid the ball from Hristu Sapera (Rapid Bucuresti), sticking it first in his t-shirt and than in his pants by means of a blitzly move that no one show in Politehnica. He made a few powerful dunks warming up for the slam dunk contest that he won due to his varied arsenal.
In the end, the freestyle demonstration followed, chapter where the Ukrainian excel. He taimed the ball and did all he wanted with it, adjusting his moves according to a tune that inspires him and gives him the energy to “play”. He did the same thing with two balls, one cycling on his finger and one on a straw that he held with his mouth! Applause repaid the enthusiasm of the special quest of Sport Arena Streetball by Timex and Dmytro Kryvenko had praised the players and organizers of the best “3 on 3” competition in Romania ( a brief interview with "Smoove" will follow shortly).
And not to forget, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the help with the obtaining the visa required for the participation of Smoove at Sport Arena by Timex.
The players from Rapidului had fun along with the streetballers!
Zoran Milovic, Djordje Pantelic, Marius Bulancea, Hristu Sapera and Daniel Popescu represented the first division basketball team, Rapid Bucuresti, at the All Star Game. Beside them on the court there were the pros Svetlana Dragusin and Anca Sipos, and also one of the best streetball from Sport Arena Streetball. The slam-dunks and alley-oops made by Oynur Musledin a.k.a. "the flying turk" and of course "Smoove" were the ones that cought the eye.
The giant Serbian center, Zoran Milovic, was responsible with the good mood, just like at the Romanian All Star Game-ul that was held this year in Ploiesti. Zoki did not resume to basketball but convinced his opponents and colleagues to play football, volleyball, American football or handball! The show has great the spectators and the commentator Cosmin Petrescu being amused the entire period of the all star game.
The time of the "Carpathian Bears "!
The duels in the "3 on 3" competition were extremely disputed as a sign that the new cameras placed by GTS Telecom for transmitting only the matches had a significant impact over the players that knew that they were watched by their loved ones.
The best final was the one at "male +18 years", where the team Carphatian Bears won in front of the legendary Bob's Squad after a game where George Alexe a.k.a. Harry Potter made five incredible 3 point shots, threshing the confidence of his opponents.Consequently, the "bears" leave in only two days to a streetball in Moscow with a high morale, managing to win the fourth tournament Sport Arena Streetball by Timex! They seem fit and we hope and wish that they will place as high as possible in the rankings at Moscow. For the Master the “Carphatian Bears” are the favorites at winning the best streetball team award in Romania.
What we prepared for the Master...
We will not disclose all the surprises. We also learned how to get high audience ratings after the model of Andreea Marin that gathers people and only in front of the TV (she says!) tells them what she prepared. We announce only that Parazitii band will have a super concert and that the prizes and the guests will be as you never seen in Politehnica. Even if you think that this is not possible, considering that you still have in mind Guy Dupuy and Kadour Ziani from Slam Nation, the Americans from Flying 101 or the Ukrainian Smoove... We are waiting at Sport Arena between 26-28 September, either as participants or only as spectators. The Show at the Master should not be missed by any streetball fan. The phenomenon called Sport Arena Streetball shall put the ending point by a unique show!
We are not repeating to obsession an idea, but only we are suggesting to place a reminder in your agenda Master Sport Arena Streetball by Timex, 26-28 September 2008, in Politehnica.
