Sportarena Streetball Team
We want to turn this thing into one of the most important streetballs in the world, where people could play ball, dunk and party like nowhere else. We are very serious abouth this tournament and we guarantee you that Sportarena 2010 would be way better than it was in 2009.

European Dunk Contest 2010
What happened at EDC 2009 was only the beginning. This year, from August 27th to 29th, second edition of Euro Dunk Contest will take place. More countries represented, a double capacity in terms of seats for spectators, music, a huge party, best dunks and, of course, that magic energy so specific to Sport Arena events that will make everyone attending proudly say: “I was there!”
3rd stage review
The third stage of Sportarena Streetball 2010 ended after three hot days, not mentioning Sunday afternoon when the clouds gathered on the sky, but, luckily for us, only in small number.
3rd stage preview
Sportarena Streetball issues a basketball orange code warning. This weekend we’re inviting you on the Politehnica courts to shake that prolonged holiday feeling we’re all experiencing. On Thursday, while at the Turabo swimming pool, Gina Pistol, Cristina Ciocan, Viorela and other basketball players showed us how they are going to win the third stage of the competition. We believe they were pretty convincing.
2nd stage review
Once again, the streetball phenomenon proved it self to go way beyond known boundaries. Although the high temperatures during the weekend almost got even the thermometers hospitalized, more than 1000 players came to the courts of Politehnica for the second stage of Sport Arena Streetball 2010.

Easy Like a Sunday Afternoon…
He came straight off the plane and onto the court at Sport Arena, spent with us an afternoon that left us all delighted and amazed, and moved on. He put on an amazing show in between flights, probably an exhausting feat for anybody except Guy. Displaying the skill, the elegance, the agility and most of all the ease in execution that won him the nickname „Easy Jumper”.

The 2010 edition of Sport Arena Streetball started out big, with unexpected dunks, surprise results, though matches, sugar free ice cream and, luckily, a little less rain, more beer and even more fun.

SPORT ARENA STREETBALL - 6TH SEASON – 2010
We know you missed us. The feeling is mutual. So, let’s start the 2010 Seson of SPORT ARENA STREETBALL.
The debut of the long hot summer at Sport Arena Streetball is scheduled for the 28th – 30th of May weekend of the Politehnica courts. It goes on in the same place in June(11-13), July (23-25), August (25-27) and September (24-26).

In the last weekend it took place at Sport Arena Streetball by ASpirin Cardio the most important European Dunk Contest (EDC by Kadour Ziani) of 2009. Some photos and final ranking can be found as follow.

During 28-30 August weekend, European Slam Dunk Championship will take place on Sport Arena Politehnica court. 11 countries already confirmed their presence in Bucharest.

2nd Tournament - 3 days and 3 nights of streetball. No rain.
Emails and prayers were read and listened, not by blue eyed boys but by God, a basketball fan in the weekend that just ended. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the sun heated the atmosphere at the second tournament Sport Arena Streetball, rain being the biggest absent but nobody missed it.
2009 Sport Arena Streetball - 1st stage
It has begun!!!
Sport Arena Streetball 2009 debuted in a stormy manner. Literally speaking! The rain sent us again to the sport court of Politehnica University, providing the participants a cold shower that woke them into their senses. Basketball was played non-stop in this weekend, „3 on 3” and „5 on 5”, contests were organized and plenty prizes were awarded. The sun from the last day of the competition wept the cloudy looks on the organizers’’ faces, took the players outside on Sport Arena court and heated the spirits for obtaining the points needed for participating to the Master.

Just one left over... one stage and Sport Arena Streetball 2008 by Timex will be closed. But will follow 2009 championship... Until then will have Master stage, which will take place in weekend 26-28 September. You can read Ionut review and practice 3 on 3 basketball before the Master!!! Your presence is imperative, if not like a player, at least like a spectator.

Virgil Stanescu 2008 Camp
The Project of the captain of the Romanian basketball team, Virgil Stanescu, was a success. For a week at Sport Arena playgrounds in Politehnica children between 14 an 18 years old tried to steel the secrets of this sport from five people involved in this phenomenon from a long time ago: Virgil Stanescu (ex-Unics Kazan), Bogdan Popescu (Rapid Bucuresti), Paul Helcioiu (BCA Pitesti), Claudiu Fometescu (Dinamo Bucuresti) and Radu Abramescu (ex-Dinamo si Rapid Bucuresti).
